Morris Law has acted as legal advisor for the sellers in connection with Amspec Group’s, through Amspec Holdings (Sweden AB), acquisition of I I S Independent Inspection Services AB (“IIS”)
IIS is a niche full-service supplier of inspection and laboratory analyses, in particular of liquid fuels such as petroleum, biofuel and gas but also other products such as minerals, agriculture and chemicals.
With 20 years market presence and a close collaboration with some of the largest fuel companies in Sweden, IIS has a strong local position and act as a reliable full-service partner to its customers. The company’s headquarters are in located in Gothenburg.
AmSpec Group is based in the USA and has over 4,000 empoloyees dispersed on 170 offices located all around the world. AmSpec is a world leading so called TIC-company (testing, inspection and certification) focused on oil, gas, minerals, agriculture and chemicals. The American private equity actor Olympus Partner has since 2016 been the majority stakeholder of the group.

Morris Law has acted as legal advisor to Åhléns Group in connection with the company’s successful issuance of senior secured bonds in the amount of SEK 500 million, under a framework of up to SEK 1 billion. The bonds have a tenure of three and a half years and carry interest at STIBOR 3 months plus 5 percent per annum.
