Morris Law is taking the next step in its development and, together with five other leading Swedish business law firms, is forming AGRD Partners – a new law firm group focused on innovation, technology and smarter collaboration. The aim is to strengthen the client offering and modernize business law in Sweden and, over time, also internationally.
AGRD Partners consists of the business law firms Allié, Born, Morris Law, Next, Synch and TM & Partners, bringing together around 250 employees across nine offices in Sweden. The group has secured external funding through the Nordic private equity firm Axcel and will make strategic investments in technology, competence development and new service offerings.
– The legal sector has remained unchanged for over a century, while our clients’ needs are evolving rapidly. At Morris, it is in our DNA to think differently and challenge traditional structures. Through AGRD Partners, we gain greater opportunities to work with a long-term business model, to invest, collaborate and leverage each other’s strengths – all to create even more value for our clients and a better workplace for our employees, says Racine Ashjari, Founder and Partner at Morris Law.
All firms within AGRD Partners will continue to operate under their own brands and with full autonomy. For clients, the alliance means:
Access to a broader range of specialist expertise when needed
New pricing models and more flexible forms of collaboration
A wider international network of advisors
Enhanced capacity to handle complex and cross-border matters
Swedish regulations do not allow law firms to accept external ownership capital. To enable long-term investments and continued development, Morris Law and the other firms within AGRD Partners are therefore leaving the Swedish Bar Association.
Morris Law will continue as a full-service business law firm, offering the same legal expertise, quality and commitment as before. Both the firm and the group will adhere to a comprehensive ethical framework, the AGRD Partners Code of Conduct, ensuring the high standards and integrity that clients can expect. Client information will, as always, be handled with the highest level of confidentiality.
– The formation of AGRD Partners will only bring improvements for our clients. You will continue to work with the same teams and contact persons as before – but now with even greater opportunities to create value together, says Martin Taranger, CEO of Morris Law.
Internationally, there is a clear trend where external capital and new strategic ownership are reshaping and strengthening business law – in much the same way as has already happened in the audit industry. With AGRD Partners, we are now taking a similar step in Sweden. A joint central management team and board are currently being assembled to drive the initiatives forward.

Morris Law has acted as legal advisor to Åhléns Group in connection with the company’s successful issuance of senior secured bonds in the amount of SEK 500 million, under a framework of up to SEK 1 billion. Pursuing a dispute always involves financial risk – even when the case is strong. It also places pressure on a company’s liquidity throughout the process. As a result, many companies choose to abandon even well-founded claims. Through our collaboration with Litigium Capital, we offer flexible pricing models that make it possible to pursue legal proceedings without bearing the full cost yourself. You retain control of the process – we share the risk.
