Banking & Finance

Morris Law’s banking and finance team advises numerous domestic and international borrowers on leveraged finance, restructuring, acquisition finance and real estate finance transactions. Practice head Björn Bjuggren, who recently joined form Osborne Clarke, has a client list comprising banks, alternative investors and private equity funds. Commercial partners Caroline Ygge and Olof Myhrman jointly lead the group at Morris Law and handle commercial strategy, distribution and licensing agreements, and procurement negotiations for clients in the life sciences, automotive, technology and retail sectors. Morris Law, the recruitment of group head Nimrod Badur from Osborne Clarke has notably enhanced the firm’s real estate M&A offering; Badur advises funds and real estate companies on high-value forward funding structures, residential project acquisitions, disposals, joint venture arrangements, and significant single-asset divestments. Domestic and international developers also regularly instruct Andréa Dahrén on development projects involving commercial sites, logistics centres and hotels. The practice also handles the full scope of environmental, planning, infringement and permit issues.

Public procurement

Morris Law regularly assists suppliers in the healthcare, construction, education and life sciences sectors with strategic public procurement issues including review procedures and disputes before the courts. Practice head Roger Wier and Linda Dahlström are also instructed by municipalities and other contracting authorities to defend damages claims arising from award tenders. Newly promoted partner Martin Vildhede brings further experience across the range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
